On Sunday, a video purportedly depicting 2015 NFL Most Valuable Player Cam Newton getting into a fistfight during a 7-on-7 kids football competition in Atlanta went viral.

At the WeBall Sports x DynastyU 7v7 competition at B.E.S.T. Academy, the brawl is broken up by a police officer and event security in less than 30 seconds of film.

In the footage, three people are seen pulling Newton, who is wearing one of his custom-made hats, close to the top of a set of steps before more pushing, shoving, and grabbing occurs in the direction of a fence line.

One blow was directed towards Newton, though it's not clear if the former quarterback was hit by it.   Furthermore, it's unclear what started the fight.

In the footage, Newton—the No. 1 overall choice in 2011 out of Auburn—looks like he's battling off three other men rather than throwing any punches.
